Matt Williams is a founder and principal of Wind Dancer Films. He started his television career when he joined The Cosby Show during its premiere season and worked as a writer/producer on the show for three subsequent seasons, during which time his work was honored with Emmy and Humanitas nominations, as well as sharing a Peabody Award for outstanding achievement in television writing. He also served as co-creator of the Cosby spin-off, A Different World.

In 1989, Williams formed Wind Dancer Production Group with Carmen Finestra and David McFadzean. Under the Wind Dancer banner, Williams co-created and executive produced Home Improvement, Carol & Company, starring Carol Burnett, Buddies with Dave Chappelle, Thunder Alley with Ed Asner, Soul Man with Dan Aykroyd and other TV series for ABC.

In film, Williams produced Bernie, starring Jack Black, Matthew McConaughey and Shirley MacLaine, produced As Cool As I Am starring Sarah Bolger, Claire Danes and James Marsden, and directed Where The Heart Is, starring Natalie Portman and Ashley Judd. He produced Nancy Meyer's romantic comedy What Women Want with Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt; executive produced the critically acclaimed drama Firelight with Sophie Marceau, served as co-writer and producer of Disney's award-winning Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken and co-wrote, produced, and directed Walker Payne with Jason Patric and Sam Shepard.

In pursuit of his passion to see children succeed, Williams recently formed the Laughing Angels Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children around the world by creating stories that celebrate the human spirit. Laughing Angels Foundation's first project is building a school in the Bas-Citronniers region of Leogana, Haiti.

He also serves on the board at the Cherry Lane Theatre, a resident non-profit theatre founded by his wife, Angelina Fiordellisi.
