MIPTV: Anglo-Dutch producer and distributor Off The Fence (OTF) has hooked up with Africa HD and Wind Dancer Films to produce a new documentary series about Africa's diverse ecosystems.
High definition series Wildest Africa (13x60') is currently being distributed by OTF at MipTV. It looks at the natural wonders of the continent, such as the Zambezi river and the Sahara desert, and investigates how they are coming under increasing threat from man.
The first four episodes of the show are being co-funded by UKTV's Eden, Oasis HD, Arte and ZDF Enterprises. Executive producers are Ellen Windemuth and Allison Bean for OTF; Matt Williams, David McFadzean and Dete Meserve for Wind Dancer; James Makawa for Africa HD; Britta Troester for ZDF; and John Pannikar for Oasis HD.

The creators of one of ABC’s signature comedy series of the 1990s, “Home Improvement,” are back at the network with another multicamera family comedy centered on a working dad.
The project, from Matt Williams — who also created ABC’s “Roseanne” — Carmen Finestra and David McFadzean, follows a sports psychologist and father of three who runs his office out of his home and faces the challenges of being an involved dad in today’s world.
The sitcom, which has received a script commitment with penalty from the network, is being produced by ABC Studios.
The WME-repped Williams, Finestra and McFadzean are executive producing via their Wind Dancer Prods. Banner.

Visual-effects specialist Charles Gibson will make his bigscreen directing debut with the Geoff Rodkey-scripted family comedy "The Goblin."
Matt Berenson will produce with Wind Dancer Film principal Matt Williams and production head Judd Payne. Wind Dancer principal David McFadzean and president Dete Meserve exec produce.
Story revolves around a suburban family that moves into its new home only to find a curmudgeonly goblin who doesn't want them there.
"It's about creating a goblin that will appeal to audiences of all ages," Williams said.
Gibson won visual-effects Oscars for "Babe" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest." He performed visual effects and second unit directing on the "Pirates" franchise and "Terminator Salvation."
Rodkey wrote "Daddy Day Care," which Berenson produced, and "RV."
